WESTPUNK MEDIA
I collaborated with Westpunk Media to design and build a custom portfolio site that feels as editorial as the work it houses. From developing a tailored CMS in Webflow to writing sharp, minimal copy, the entire site was built to scale — and built for independence. I handled strategy, design, development, and client training, creating a flexible digital archive that lets their work lead the way.

Category: Experimental Website Collaboration
Platform: Webflow
Role: Creative Director, Developer, Copywriter, CMS Architect
Outcome: A sleek, editorial-style portfolio site that doubles as a functional creative archive — built for autonomy and built to last.
Custom CMS Development: Developing a tailored Content Management System that allows for easy updates and management of the portfolio, ensuring that new projects can be added seamlessly.
The Setup
Westpunk Media was a creative experiment — a crossover between designer and photographer, visual storyteller and digital architect. The goal? Build a concept site that felt like a moodboard come to life, while giving the client full control to add, update, and evolve their work without sacrificing cohesion.
It wasn’t about following rules — it was about designing a digital gallery that moved the way the work felt.
The Challenge
This was an intentional mix of high design and backend structure:
- Custom CMS: I built a system flexible enough to house their evolving body of work without compromising the visual flow.
- Creative Cohesion: Their projects span genres, so the layout had to hold everything together — minimalist, bold, never boring.
- Client Independence: This wasn’t a one-and-done site; I trained the client to own it. Full walk-throughs, CMS tutorials, and best practices included.
The Process
Strategy & Vision
- We mapped out how the work should be grouped, tagged, and experienced
- Designed a homepage that felt editorial, not templated
- Built an architecture that could expand with more media formats down the line
Design & Webflow Build
- Developed a responsive layout with clean transitions and modular sections
- Custom CMS collections for:
- Projects
- Categories
- Future collabs or press (optional growth paths)
Copywriting & Messaging
- Wrote minimal but expressive copy — just enough to hold the work in context
- Captured the tone of Westpunk: cool, sharp, and a little underground
Client Training
- Recorded a full CMS tutorial
- Set up naming conventions and usage flows for future uploads
- Left them with an annotated Webflow workspace for easy navigation
Deliverables
- Custom Webflow site with editorial layout
- CMS backend fully customized for future work
- Messaging and copywriting guidance
- Client tutorial and offboarding support
- Mobile and desktop responsive builds
Outcome
The final product is a living portfolio with edge — designed to evolve.
It balances minimalism with bold imagery, and structure with creative flow.
The client has full control, and the brand now has a digital home that reflects the feel of the work — not just the specs.
